Rachel moved to the beautiful Sunshine Coast from the UK in 2016 to complete her psychology training and become acquainted with the community. She has worked in a variety of clinical, research, and community-based roles with an array of client presentations. She is a warm, compassionate psychologist who believes that the therapeutic alliance is a key component of successful therapy. She enjoys finding creative ways to connect with clients and endeavours to provide a safe space to collaboratively explore and work towards clients' goals.

Rachel appreciates that every client is unique and aims to bring a flexible, tailored approach to evidence-based practice through treatments such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and schema therapy.

Rachel works with individuals 18+ and has a special interest in helping clients experiencing mood and anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, or grief and loss. Given her own trek from the UK, Rachel also enjoys working with individuals to overcome the challenges of relocation and migration, helping them move towards an enriching life in their new home.

Rachel understands that time and finances can create a barrier to attending therapy. She offers a concession rate to health care card holders and can provide after hours appointments to improve accessibility for clients. Get in touch to find out more about how Rachel could help you or to book an appointment.
